La tradizione dantesca nella poesia armena del Novecento

Abstract

Il contributo esamina l'influenza di dante nelle opere dei più importanti poeti armeni del XX secolo, dove la prima cantica della Commedia è stata letta e interpretata in relazione alla situazione politica e alle lotte rivoluzionarie armene dell’epoca. Influenzandosi reciprocamente, essi hanno scritto una serie di poemi
"danteschi" per parlare dei massacri degli armeni, creando così un'interessante tradizione letteraria ispirata all’Inferno. La descrizione dell''inferno terrestre' si può trovare nelle opere di Siamanto, Eghishe Charents, Hovhannes Shiraz e altri. alcuni di questi poeti sono diventati vittime del genocidio (Siamanto) o delle Grandi purghe del regime stalinista (Eghishe Charents). Il saggio dimostra il notevole ruolo di dante nelle rappresentazioni letterarie moderne dell’inferno terrestre e nel pensiero e nell’immaginazione poetica dei poeti armeni.

The article examines the influence of dante in the works of the most important 20th-century armenian poets, where the first canticle of the Divine Comedy was read and interpreted in relation to the political situation and armenian revolutionary struggles of the time. being influenced by one another, they wrote a series of 'dantesque' poems to talk about the massacres of the armenians, thus creating an interesting literary tradition inspired by Inferno. the "earthly hell" description can be found in the works of Siamanto, Eghishe Charents, Hovhannes Shiraz, and others. Some of these poets became victims of either the genocide (Siamanto) or the Great Purge of the Stalinist regime (Eghishe Charents). the article demonstrates dante's remarkable role in the modern literary representations of the earthly hell and in the thought and poetic imagination of the armenian poets.
